Tuesday, May 7, 2019

The ACE Award recognizes students who have overcome physical, emotional, or social obstacles to succeed in school. Its purpose is to encourage them to graduate from high school and applauds and recognizes those students who might otherwise be overlooked for their achievements.

Marlaja  was honored for volunteering, participating in the Pathfinders Excel Club and improving her grades. She attends the Freshman Learning Center and has been part of Youth Guidance for nine years. She loves basketball and wants to attend Florida State University.

Mario has participated in the Youth Guidance Mentoring Academy program for two years. He is presently a student at Gifford Middle School. He loves music and is known for always being around to help when he is needed.
