Group Mentoring
Academics. Life Skills. Vocational Training.
Youth Guidance Group Mentoring Programs help children and young adults graduate high school on time, begin meaningful careers, and thrive in a rapidly changing economy. We offer after-school programs, summer camp, and healthy meals – all free of charge.
Pre-Apprenticeship
Teaching the skilled trades
Youth Guidance offers a state-registered pre-apprenticeship program for teenagers and young adults ages 16-24. Over eight months, students learn five trades (welding, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and electric) and have the opportunity to obtain professional certifications to start a career in the trade sector.
Exchange Parent Aide
Evidence-Based Parent Engagement
We send trained staff members into the homes of our parents to help them gain the community resources and knowledge they need to support themselves and their children.
One-on-One Mentoring
Fostering connection, trust, and purpose
One-on-one mentoring pairs a caring adult mentor with a child, offering the opportunity for an even deeper and more meaningful relationship. One-on-one mentors agree to a one-year commitment to meet with their mentee a minimum of two hours per week.
